Flowers: petals purplish, conspicuously fringed, adaxial surface with long dark or yellow hairs, apex rounded; anther apex rounded.


Phenology: Flowering late spring–mid summer.
Habitat: Dry, often heavy or rocky soil, in chaparral
Elevation: less than 700 m

Discussion

Calochortus weedii var. intermedius is restricted to Orange County.
