Herbage glabrous. Leaflets: blade narrowly oblong. Flowers: sepals not accrescent, broadly lanceolate, 6–7 mm, glabrous or sparsely hairy; petals cream, aging or drying lilac, obcordate, 12–15 mm, 1.2–1.3 times as long as wide (apex recurved), sparsely hairy (hairs long); filaments ca. 4 mm; anthers cream or pinkish, ± 1 mm; style ± 4 mm. Nutlets 3.5 mm, smooth, tuberculate, or ridged.


Phenology: Flowering Apr–May(-Jul).
Habitat: Winter-wet grasslands, woodlands, edges of vernal pools, edges of ephemeral streams
Elevation: 150-2100 m
