Flowers 14–18 per inflorescence, 6.5–10 mm. Fruits 8–12 × 6–14 mm; wings truncate, poorly to moderately developed, if developed, tapering to fruit apex.


Phenology: Flowering year-round.
Habitat: Sandy soils, coastal scrub, lees of dunes near strand
Elevation: 0-100 m

Abronia umbellata var. breviflora is in the Center for Plant Conservation’s National Collection of Endangered Plants.
