Stem glabrous, rarely or pubescent proximal to nodes. Leaf blades 6–17(–20) × 2–8 cm, margins glabrous or ciliate, faces glabrous. 2n = 20.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Aug.
Habitat: Moist hillsides, waste places, streambanks, sandy lake shores, talus slopes above treeline
Elevation: 300-1700 m
