Flowers: petals pink to laven­der, unspotted, 6–23 mm, base darker or not; stigma not exserted beyond anthers. 2n = 28.


Phenology: Flowering Apr–Jul.
Habitat: Wood­lands, forest openings.
Elevation: 0–1500 m.

Discussion

Subspecies gracilis is found throughout most of northern California below 1500 m, and is more scat­tered in western Oregon and Washington.
