Tepals deep reddish purple or rarely pure white, narrowly lanceolate to lanceolate, apex margins becoming involute, apex thus appearing long-acuminate. 2n = 14.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jun.
Habitat: Sandy, rocky, or clay soils on desert slopes
Elevation: 1400–2100 m
