Stems glabrous, rarely obscurely retrorsely hairy at proximal nodes. Leaves glabrous. Flowers: stamens included or reaching orifice, longer pair rarely exserted. 2n = 16.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–Jul.
Habitat: Sagebrush shrublands, pinyon-juniper woodlands, pine forests.
Elevation: 1200–2900 m.

Ariz., Calif., Colo., Idaho, Nev., N.Mex., Utah, Wyo.

Discussion
