Plants annual. Leaflets (5 or)7 or 9, blades broadly oblanceolate or elliptic, 4–15 mm; terminal leaflet not conspicuously longer than last pair. Legumes inflexed as narrow, partial septum 0.6–1.2 mm wide, semibilocular; sutures sulcate dorsally (3-sided). Seeds 7–11.


Phenology: Flowering Apr–May.
Habitat: Sandy flats and washes, with Ambrosia and Larrea.
Elevation: 300–700 m.

Discussion

Variety triquetrus is a rare and local taxon from extreme northwestern Mohave County, Arizona, and southern Clark County, Nevada.
