Discussion
Variety otayensis is known from Otay Mountain, San Diego County, and the Santa Lucia Mountains, San Luis Obispo County. Its legumes are shorter, the calyx lobes narrower, and the keel broader and abruptly incurved when compared to var. crassifolia.
