Hairs basifixed. Stems 0–10(–15) cm. Leaves (1.5–)2.5–12(–15) cm; leaflets usually dist­ant, sometimes crowded, (7 or)9–21, blades usually elliptic, rhombic-elliptic, or -ovate, rarely elliptic-oblanceolate, (2–)4–15 mm, apex usually acute, rarely obtuse. Flowers: calyx 12.4–16.8 mm, tube (9.4–)10–11.8 mm, lobes 2.4–5(–5.8) mm; corolla bright purple; banner 22–24 mm; keel (17.3–)17.6–20.3 mm. Legumes ovoid to broadly lanceoloid-ellipsoid or oblong-ellipsoid, 15–25 × 7–12 mm, strigulose-pilosulous, hairs appressed or sub­appressed, straight, to (0.4–)0.5–1 mm.


Phenology: Flowering mid Apr–Jul.
Habitat: Alkaline and saline meadows and in evidently non-saline sites, on stream banks, river terraces, lakeshores.
Elevation: 1300–2300 m.
