Shrubs usually glabrous or glabrate distally, sometimes sparsely pubescent. Leaves: rachis usually glabrous, some­times puberulent. Racemes sparsely puberulent. Calyces: tube usually glabrous or glabrate, sometimes strigulose. Legumes usually glabrous.


Phenology: Flowering May–Sep.
Habitat: Pine woodlands on the Atlantic Coastal Plain.
Elevation: 0–50 m.
