Leaf blades 1–3(–6) cm. Rays often inconspicuous, laminae mostly 2–5 mm. Cypselae 2–4 mm; pappi of ± erect to spreading awns, the longer 1–2(–3+) mm. 2n = 24.
Phenology: Flowering ± year round.
Habitat: Ruderal, lawns, along paths and roads, clays, sands, calcareous soils
Elevation: 0–300 m
Distribution
Ala., Fla., La., Miss., Tex., Mexico, Central America.
