Staminate spike peduncles (3–)4–20 mm. proximal cauline pistillate spikes short-pedunculate, ovoid to short-cylindric.


Phenology: Fruiting late Apr–late Jul.
Habitat: Rocky, sandy, and loamy soils of open pine woodlands, open slopes, near mountain streams
Elevation: 500–2600 m
