Plants 1–5+ dm. Stems usually erect. Leaf blades obovate to lanceolate, 2–6(–8+) cm × 8–25(–40+) mm. Involucres 8–15+ × 8–15+ mm. Phyllaries 30–50+ in 4–8+ series, glabrous or sparsely tomentulose. Florets 30–60+. Cypselae 1–2.5+ mm; pappi stramineous, 1–3+ mm. 2n = 32, 64.


Phenology: Flowering year-round.
Habitat: Disturbed places
Elevation: 0–10+ m
