Flowers: petals lavender-pink or white, 6–12 mm; stigma not exserted beyond anthers. 2n = 18.

Phenology: Flowering May–Jun.
Habitat: Foothill woodlands.
Elevation: 1000–1500 m.

Discussion

Subspecies parviflora has a range similar to that of subsp. xantiana in the southern Sierra Nevada (especially Kern River drainage) and Tehachapi Mountain area in Inyo, Kern, and Tulare counties, and especially the Western Transverse Ranges in Los Angeles and barely San Bernardino counties.
