Plants 10–20(–40) cm, slender. Stems ascending (basally curved). Basal leaves 80–150 × 5–10 mm. Heads usually (2–)3–6, sometimes borne singly. Involucres 10–15 × 15–20 mm. Ray floret corollas 9–12 mm.


Phenology: Flowering Jul–Oct.
Habitat: Mountain meadows, moist slopes
Elevation: 2100–2900 m

Discussion

Variety genuflexa is recognized by its relatively short stems, small and narrow leaves, and small heads. It is known from the type locality and nearby locations.
