Leaves usually 6–25 mm wide, rarely wider. Fruiting bracteoles 2(–4)-winged, samaralike; achenes vertical. 2n = 36.
Phenology: Flowering summer.
Habitat: Fine-textured, often saline and seleniferous substrates
Elevation: 1500-2300 m
