Stems usually stout, prostrate to ascending. Peduncles 1–5 mm. Legumes moderately exserted.


Phenology: Flowering spring.
Habitat: Chaparral, rocky, open slopes, sometimes on serpentine, bluffs, sand dunes.
Elevation: 0–500 m.

Discussion

Variety junceus occurs in the Central Coast and Outer South Coast Ranges. D. Isely (1981) reported hybrids with Acmispon glaber var. glaber [as Lotus scoparius (Torrey & A. Gray) Ottley var. perplexans Hoover].
