Leaflet blades obovate or elliptic-ovate, margins usually entire, submarginal glands to 0.1–0.2 mm wide.


Phenology: Flowering spring (fall).
Habitat: Stony hills, limestone soils.
Elevation: 300–1800 m.

In Texas, var. longipila is known from the trans-Pecos and Big Bend regions.
