Shrubs tomentose. Leaflet blades elliptic, 2–10 mm wide.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–May.
Habitat: Can­yons, rocky stream beds, chap­arral.
Elevation: 300–500 m.

Distribution

Calif., Mexico (Baja California).

Discussion

Variety tomentosa is known in the flora area in south­western California from the San Bernardino Mountains, Peninsular Ranges, and San Jacinto Mountains.
